Handy Manny and his tools -
The handyman of the town of SheetRock is definitely the hot new prospect of Disney programming. I love him, I'd say he is a great role model for boys. It's rare I think to see a show where computers aren't the solution to everything. Skilled manual labour gets the problem solved in this show. His helpful talking Tools are much loved with their issues and worries that kids might relate to. Handy Manny is going to be huge so get up to speed on him soon and be a `cool` parent.
The Batman -
Batman has been around for decades. But that's great. As it means we can identify with something our kids are into. As we have `been there, done that`. It's hard to pick one reason why he is so popular. It could well be the Batplane although maybe it's the Combat Training.
Spider-man :
Lets accept it, as he swings his way across the city and cracks jokes while fighting baddies what boy wouldn't want to be spidey? Bitten by a radioactive spider, our hero Peter Parker finds he has the powers of an arachnid including an uncanny warning sense of danger. He has a great cast of baddies such as the sandman & venom though of course Spiderman always wins in the end. The Amazing Spider-man is a classic choice for coloring pages.
Superman :
This orphan from another planet came to live among us and now protects us as his own. Everyone knows the tale of Superman which shows how celebrated he is. You could travel to any country, and be sure folks would know his famous logo! Boys would love to be able to shoot lasers from their eyes and his ability to have bullets bounce harmlessly off them.
Winnie The Pooh ;
I am sure you will not be shocked to hear that Winnie and his friends Eeyore, Tigger and the rest are popular with young boys.
