But these volunteers are simply volunteering to do precisely as the stage hypnotist says. The stage hypnotist will even go so far as to tell the people that they will not recall anything that they had done on stage, and when the people appear to come out of trance, they do as the stage hypnotist told them and act as though they can't remember anything that had taken place.
A stage hypnotist is a entertainer and not a real hypnotist. All a stage hypnotist does is collect volunteers and then begin to weed them out until he is left with the volunteers who are willing to obey each and every command the stage hypnotist gives them. This means that people are not hypnotized throughout stage hypnosis shows because they are only pretending to be hypnotized.
There is little difference between an actor and a volunteer at a stage hypnosis show. What this means is that stage hypnosis is not a type of mind control or covert hypnosis, it is just a type of entertainment.
