Most loving husbands want their wives to have their heart's desire. When the wife says that her desire is a medical career and not a mink coat, then we'll see if the husband is a true man. Because of his great love for his wife, he takes her to medical school. A woman's life does not end in marriage, he quickly shares his view. If it makes her a better wife and person in general, then she should be encouraged to pursue it. With her career, I know my wife has become a greater woman and partner, he adds.

For this belief, he had to thresh out a considerable amount of support both financial and moral and not a lot of people understand this. His eyes brown and sentimental, this vital young man is also a hairdresser that put up his own business. Such a decision called for both emotional and financial demands. It meant a 300 mile separation. A lot of women who are married are not prioritized by coed medical schools' admission boards in the area so his wife had to go to Philadelphia which had a medical school for women that accepted her.

While he wanted to be with her, he couldn't go to Philadelphia for he couldn't leave his thriving business behind. He also jestingly adds that their precious baby, a 10 month old girl is the one and only baby to be born in Norfolk with a medical degree. His wife was three months on the way when she got her degree in medicine. Once again, she is working at De Paul Hospital where she had her internship then to work now as a resident in pathology. Being on the way with their second child, she is really making up for lost time.

The disheartening head of money problems would often visit them during her medical school years. Kenny was able to handle two entire households. The phone bills often went off the roof. She'd call him up every time she gets lonesome and when she wonders if everything she was doing at that time was worth all their sacrifices. Her husband's pep talks drove her forward. She states that if it were not for her husband, she won't be able to make it.

The hardworking hairdresser would fly to Philadelphia as often as possible. The man shares about how it has been so hard for the both of them. When she was in her internship, she only gets to spend 8 hours at home out of the 40 hours she had. After the maid leaves, it would be her turn to care for the baby and she cherished it so much. She maintains that if every father would be forced into being a handson caregiver for their kids, then they would certainly share a strong bond.

The dear baby had her first bath in the arms of her father. Since coming back from the hospital, her husband was the one who took over according to the wife. It looked as if he was made to do it. In fact, he was the one who was nervous when I started helping. She avers that she works around a day clock and with a schedule that is nearly regular. The hours I spend for work are longer than what most people work with, but I get home to enjoy dinner in the evening with my beloved child and husband. You can't ask for more than that when you're doing what you love most in the world.
